The Viessmann Vitocrossal gas condensing boilers
To the product rangeAlongside boilers for detached houses, the Vitocrossal product range also includes medium sized boilers with a higher output range. Here you'll be able to find out about how the various models in this line differ and also, most especially, what they have in common.
What sets the Vitocrossal gas condensing boiler apart?
As we've seen, the products in the Vitocrossal range provide condensing technology across a wide output spectrum. All models achieve a standard seasonal efficiency [to DIN] of up to 98 percent. This is made possible by the use of high quality components such as the stainless steel Inox-Crossal heat exchanger. It is arranged vertically. This allows it to utilise the condensing energy in the hot gases with exceptional intensity. In addition, there is a permanent self-cleaning effect thanks to the smooth stainless steel surface. This in turn ensures efficiency, but also extends the service life and reduces maintenance requirements, as there is less wear caused by contamination.
Another equally important component in Vitocrossal condensing boilers is the MatriX burner. They operate in modulating mode whereby the boiler automatically adapts to the required heating output. This happens seamlessly, without the burner having to be continually switched on or off. This means that less cycling is required. This reduces wear and ultimately maintenance and servicing costs. The MatriX burners are inherently economical, quiet and environmentally responsible. One special model worthy of particular note is the Vitocrossal 300 type CRU. In this product, we have installed a MatriX-Disk burner, which is exceptionally quiet, even though outputs of up to 1000 kW can be achieved. In addition, the burner modulates in the range 1:6, meaning that the output can be regulated to below 20 percent.
Good controllability is likewise ensured by the large water content and the wide heat galleries. They also guarantee reliable heat transfer.
